Florida Atlantic University (FAU) formed the Florida Atlantic Research and Development Authority in 1985 with the support of the Broward and Palm Beach county commissions. The R&D Authority is near the major research campus.

Location

The Research Park is situated adjacent to the north end of the FAU campus on 77 acres of land. It is conveniently located within one-half mile of I-95. International airports are located at West Palm Beach (20 miles north), Fort Lauderdale (23 miles south), and Miami (54 miles south). In addition, the Boca Raton Executive Airport, with a 5,000 foot runway and excellent executive air-service facilities, is located adjacent to the Research Park.
