Enterprise Development Corporation
The Enterprise Development Corp. of South Florida (EDC) is a nonprofit organization that assists emerging science and technology companies. Its mission is the development of an innovation-based economy through the creation of high skill, high wage jobs in key industries that are driving global commerce.
As South Florida's clearinghouse for entrepreneurs, EDC offers the BusinessLINC mentor/protégé program, manages the Technology Business Incubator, and produces two conferences each year to provide increased visibility for young companies. EDC also manages New World Angels, Florida's premier structured angel investment group, as well as the Florida Institute for Commercialization of Public Research, a statewide initiative to create new companies based on publicly funded research
