Research & Collaborate
All of the resident tenants of the Research Park at Florida Atlantic University outline their respective collaboration plans with the University when they move-in. Currently active projects and interactions are taking place between many tenants and the College of Engineering, particularly with the student body, and many students are hired by Research Park companies upon their graduation. The College of Business is also particularly active with Research Park tenants, working on leadership and management issues of mutual interest, and providing interns to various companies as they tackle internal management issues. At least 33 interns were identified within the companies of the Research Park, working on new projects and administration of the companies.
The advent of FAU’s new Medical School represents a new range of potential collaborations and interactions, particularly with the companies that are involved in medical imaging, diagnostic equipment and other medical arts; in fact many of them have worked with the College of Medicine as it has designed its medical curriculum.
